Sales Policy

  • We reserve the right to retain any goat kid.
  • Goat kids are sold on a first come, first deposit basis. A deposit of 50% of the purchase price will hold the animal until pick up date. Deposits are non-refundable unless animal becomes ill or dies.
  • All goats must be paid for IN FULL before leaving the farm. We DO NOT accept personal checks at time of pickup. You may prepay for your animal or pay cash, Venmo or PayPal (buyer is responsible for fees) at pickup.
  • Pick up must be arranged at time of deposit for a mutually agreed upon date. Any animals not picked up by that date will be placed back up for sale and deposit will be forfeited.
  • Our goat kids are disbudded.
  • We prefer to sell goat kids in pairs or to approved farms who already have livestock of similar age. We do not generally sell single kids.
  • We do not ship our animals. They must be picked up at the farm by the buyer.
  • We reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone for any reason.
  • Our entire herd was disease tested for CAE and Johnes in 2022. No new livestock has been on our property since.
  • Purchase price includes continued mentoring from us as desired by buyer. We love to help and mentor new goat owners.
  • We expect our buyers to be responsible and capable of caring for goats. Please make sure you have: a basic 1st aid kit with appropriate antibiotics, contact with a reliable vet, proper feed/mineral/supplements, hoof trimming shears, and at least a beginning knowledge of caring for goats. You MUST have proper housing, fencing and hay source for the goats. We may ask for proof of said requirements.
  • We do not vaccinate our herd so any vaccinations the buyer would like will be done by them after the time of sale. We do give coccidia prevention before the goats leave our farm. Please remember that leaving home is stressful for them. Babies can sometimes get diarrhea, sniffles, or coughs due to moving to a new environment. Most of our kids do fine because they’re so handled but occasionally one will get sick. No goats will leave our farm if there is any sign of illness.
  • As responsible breeders we are comfortable that all our herd members are sound physically and genetically.  However, once an animal leaves the property there are NO guarantees outside of genetic defects that would not be the results of buyer mismanagement.  Upon leaving our care the health and well being of the goat is solely the responsibility of the buyer.  No returns will be accepted under any circumstances for the protection of the health of our herd and in accordance with our bio-security measures.

It looks like it will be a few days before the sun It looks like it will be a few days before the sun shines again after today, so I took my time doing chores this morning and soaked up the beautiful sunrise and warm weather before the rain and snow hit later today. I love a good snow, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't ready for spring!
Most goat owners are starting their kidding season Most goat owners are starting their kidding season right now, but we're just starting our breeding for the year. We've been milking every day for the past 11 months and we plan to travel some this spring/early summer so we were holding off on breeding the girls. Quanah came into heat today and I decided we had waited long enough and decided to let Diesel be her a boyfriend for the day - which made her very happy! If she settles, she will kick off our kidding season in mid-June. We will continue milking for another month then dry the girls off and have a 4-month break. We'll appreciate the downtime, but miss the milk so we've been freezing as much as we can.

Breeding: OldRuggedCross JF Quanah x Roamn Ranch Blu Diesel.
